What are enchantment stones?
Enchantment stones operate to increase the enchantment level of your equipment. They can be used only on armor and weapons, not on hats, belts or jewelry. What the item does for each type of gear varies.
Where do I get enchantment stones?
Enchantment stones can be found on the broker and are sometime the reward for quests. However, the most popular and easiest way to collect enchantment stones is by means of Extraction Tools. Extraction tools can be used on any of the enchantable equipemtn (listed above).
I have my extraction tools and rusty old equipment, what next?
First, its important to know that using extraction tools will DESTROY the target you use it on. Essentially you are converting equipment to enchantment stones.
I see levels of enchantment stones, what does this mean?
The level corresponds to the strength of the stone. Higher is better.
When I use my extraction tools on a target what level enchantment stone can I expect?
Typically using extraction tools will return a stone close to or slightly less than the level of the item. This is true of white items. Green items will tend to return an enchantment stone of a greater or equal level. Blue items will tend to return enchantment stones about 7-20 levels higher than the level of the item. Yellow items... well who is crazy enough? I actually don't know but I would guess 20+.
How do I know what level enchantment stone to use?
When you're dealing with enchantment stones its important to know nothing is 100%. However, a good way to be sure of success is to use a much higher level enchantment stone. - For white items: 7-12 levels are almost always successful - For green items: 10-14 levels is usually ok. - For blue items: 15-20 levels is typically ideal.
What do enchantment stones do for your items? - For weapons the enchantment level increases physical damage and in some cases adds to an extra skill. - For maces/orbs/spellbooks every level of enchantment increases magic boost as well as damage. - For armor they increase the physical defense.
